I've been relying on Brainchild vitamins and minerals for longer than I can remember for my profoundly autistic son, who is now 31. He self-limits his diet to such an extent that his balanced nutrition must be my concern. It's hard to know what benefits he might derive beyond supplementing his self-limited diet, but I can say that for all the profundity of his autism, he is NEVER sick, which is a blessing. I'd much prefer the option of being able to get him to eat a balanced diet. I cannot get him to eat what his sensory defensiveness resists, but he will drink these vitamins and minerals mixed into his juice. And autism is a lot easier when when physical health is good.
We have noticed a difference in our daughter’s communication since she’s been on these. The only thing is, it’s two tsp 3x/day which is not possible to do since she’s in school and it’s also just a bit labor intensive to think about doing it long-term. A more user-friendly delivery system for kids would be amazing. Also, the unflavored vitamin one still has a “vitamin-y” smell/taste but we get around this by adding it to juice.
I am very thankful that this is beneficial to my kiddos- 🙏
This is a great product and has virtually no taste. After spending hundreds on other vitamins that I was unable to get my child to take this was such a welcome addition to his nutritional needs.
