The BrainChild Approach
Our supplements have been developed by a team of professionals and health practitioners with a 15-year history of research, scientific inquiry, and first hand experience. Here is an overview of our whole-body approach to supporting environmentally sensitive individuals and those with neurological challenges such as autism.
We look at the body as a set of interlocking sensitive systems, which are designed to be in balance. The body does not work well if any of these systems is out of balance.
Our modern environment has exposed all of us to many substances which our bodies were not designed for: heavy metals, pesticides, plastics, radiation and synthetic chemicals are all examples of things we are exposed to which may throw the body out of balance. Mercury alone, which is found in vaccines, dental fillings and the smoke from coal mines, is a huge disruptor of multiple body systems.
A relatively small exposure to mercury, in a person with susceptible genetics, can throw many body systems out of balance, starting with digestion, and continuing all the way to the brain. Just to make things worse, some toxins, such as aluminum, multiply each other's effects. Add aluminum to mercury in the body, for example, and you have at least ten times as much damage.
Environmentally toxic people are the canaries in the coal mine: the ones of us who are the most sensitive to this damage. The worst tragedy is that most environmentally toxic people don't know what's making them ill until they are very sick indeed, and the damage is not easy to undo.
Toxic load on the body makes it less able to utilize many foods and nutrients. Our first challenge is to establish basic supplements that are well-tolerated, so that we can support the body in absorbing and utilizing the nutrition it so desperately needs. The fact that our liquids are so easily absorbed makes this much easier than with conventional supplements.
This is where our knowledge of autism and supplementation is extremely important to the rest of the human race. People with autism are the canaries among canaries: truly the very most vulnerable to neurological damage by toxins, and the ones whose genetics tip them over the edge before most of us would be affected. What we have learned in our years of experience working with autism is that there is hope for improved health for the rapidly increasing numbers of individuals with environmentally-caused health issues: With understanding of the nature of the problem, and nutritional supplements designed to support very sensitive systems, we can walk them back from the brink.
