PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Candida and other intestinal organisms are highly adaptable, and develop a resistance to most things used to fight them. This program centers around a rotation of several natural antifungals, to keep “shifting gears”, so candida doesn’t have time to develop a defense. The program also features the use of enzymes to digest yeast cell walls, support for oxygenation, body pH and the liver, use of probiotics to maintain healthy intestinal flora, and avoidance of dietary sugars, which feed candida. A normal body naturally contains a certain amount of candida and other bacteria at all times. The intention of a program like ours is not to treat or eradicate candida, but to make the environment less hospitable to dysbiosis, so that the body can return to its natural balance.

This program may be helpful to people of any age with candida overgrowth or other gut infections. If the problem is not chronic, the program may work relatively fast, within a month or two. People with normally functioning digestive systems may not need to keep on it for the long term to obtain results. For those with chronic digestive issues, and most children on the autistic spectrum, the program may take considerably longer, and may require occasional repetition, to keep yeast overgrowth under control. The program includes dosage suggestions for both adults and children, and suggestions for those who are sensitive to phenols.

Oregon grape is a versatile herb of the Berberine family. Berberines have been used by herbalists for many years to help fight Candida and a wide range of bacterial infections, and for organ support.  We use Oregon Grape to help fight yeast in our Candida Program. Oregon Grape may also help fight many other infections including Lyme disease and related infections and herpes viruses.

Oregon Grape is useful for many types of organ support. It helps support the bladder, blood, bile and liver, and protects cells from damage.  Known as a blood cleansing herb, Oregon Grape supports healthy bladder functioning and stimulates the liver and secretion of bile. Studies support the abilities of berberines to quench superoxide anion radicals and exert other protective effects against oxidative damage to cells. Oregon Grape is great during cold season, as it may reduce inflammation, support the immune system, and help to calm digestive disturbances.

Anyone with digestive problems should know about Oregon Grape. RECOMMENDED DOSE

Suggested Usage: 

Full adult dose is 30 drops in a glass of water or other drink, 3 times a day. Start at half dose and work up to full dose over first few days, as tolerated, to avoid herxheimer reaction (die off). Children: Half of adult dose.  Start with one drop, 3 times a day and increase gradually as tolerated. Refrigerate after opening and shake well before use.

NOTE: Not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation.  Adults should not take for longer than three weeks continuously, children not longer than 10 consecutive days, then take a break.  The efficacy of certain drugs such as Doxycycline and Tetracycline may be reduced when taken in conjunction with Oregon grape.  Consult your practitioner as needed.

The Lomatium dissectum plant is a natural medicine with extensive traditional use by the Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest and Northern Nevada, where it grows. It has been used primarily for upper respiratory infections, although many other uses have been noted. When the 1918 influenza epidemic hit Northern Nevada, Dr. Ernst Krebs of Carson City noticed that unlike others, the local Washoe native people were not dying of the flu. He asked about their medicine, which turned out to be Lomatium. Botanists named it Leptotaenia dissecta until 1942, when it was renamed Lomatium dissectum.
