Moms on the Phone!

It's that simple: when you call us, you will most often be speaking with someone who has a child with autism, or an adult who takes our supplements. We understand what you live with every day, and we want to help. We take the extra time with you on the phone or in email to answer the complex questions that come up, and give you all tools we can to help you succeed.

Independent, and Proud!

BrainChild is an independent company, not part of some mega-corporation or impersonal family of companies.  We do things old-school, such as sourcing each nutrient personally and asking the kinds of questions you'd ask if giving supplements to your children.  We package, label and ship our products ourselves.  We talk to our customers.   You may not realize it, but most of the brands you see at the health food store are made by large corporations who now own the brands that used to be small and independent like us.

Whole-company Involvement

Every single person in the BrainChild family takes part in creating our products and the future of our company. We brainstorm about new products at staff meetings and have our staff try new products we are thinking about carrying. We have product-naming contests, supplement-tastings and try out new recipes together.

We Walk our Talk

Our company policies and practices reflect our concern about environmental toxins, and our respect for humanity. For example, we use only non-toxic cleaning products at BrainChild, in our supplement lab, and in our offices.   We also have an extensive in-house recycling program that also helps to feed seniors in our community.

Your Safety Comes First

We have always tested every single batch of products with an independent lab before they go out the door of our FDA cGMP*-compliant facility.  We require data sheets, including heavy metals and bacterial plate counts, from every raw materials supplier. We avoid ingredients from China, and we choose organic herbs.  Every nutrient we use is pharmaceutical quality.

Beyond Safety

For us, safety goes way beyond what the regulators say is safe, and we think it's what you should be able to expect when you buy premium quality supplements like ours.  We are relentless in keeping our products as free as humanly possible of allergens, toxins, GMO materials, phenols, salicylates, benzoates...  the list goes on and on, and it includes every way we can think of to make the products as safe and easy on the body as we would want for our own children and loved ones.  These are things we don't have to care about, but we do. 

What do we mean that we go way beyond what's required?  Here's one example:  If we absolutely cannot find any non-Chinese source of a nutrient, we test the Chinese nutrient independently for heavy metals, including mercury, rather than just believing what the manufacturer says it contains.  Each of these tests costs extra, including a separate one for mercury.  Do you think every supplement company does this?  They don't!  

We Protect your Privacy

We love to educate and communicate, but we won't hard-sell you or send you spam. We have email discussion groups and blogs, where we talk about our products and other relevant information.  We consider you our partner, and we respect you as a thinking person. We love to help educate you about health and supplements, and make sure you're fully informed, to help you get full value from your purchasing decisions.   As part of treating you with respect, of course we would never share your information with anyone.

We do our own Research, for You

We spend lots of time researching and trying each product before we decide to make it or carry it.  We only carry things that we really understand and feel good about.  That's because we want you to be able to trust the quality of everything we sell under our name.  We use our own products and give them to our children, too, so you can feel good about taking them and giving them to your own kids. 

We Give Back

BrainChild has been active for years supporting worthy causes in our community and also organizations such as Angel's Purse and the National Autism Association. We donated supplements to our customers affected by Hurricane Katrina, and we have an ongoing program to help customers who find themselves in extreme financial hardship.

Politically Active

Many of us are active in our community, our state and nationally, in support of the issues we feel strongly about. We will let you know when supplement and health-related issues that you need to know about come up, so you can become educated about them, and get involved if you wish.
