SWEETENERS
BrainChild: Kosher vegetable glycerine (low
glycemic level, does not feed yeast)
The others: Sugar (feeds yeast), Aspartame (nerve
poison) or sucralose (artificial), xylitol (can cause
diarrhea), sorbitol (from corn syrup), maltitol (may
worsen mold issues)
FLAVORINGS
BrainChild: Natural lemon and lime extracts,
made from lemons and limes, nothing else.
The others: Artificial flavorings, natural
flavorings with additives, natural flavorings
made of high phenol or high oxalate fruits
such as berries, apples and grapes.
OTHER ADDITIVES
BrainChild: None
The others:
- Propylene glycol (a natural gas derivative, also
used in antifreeze)
- Polysorbate 80 (an emulsifier and plasticizer,
may be contaminated with 1,4-dioxane, a
carcinogen)
- Citric Acid, an acidifier (can make some
nutrients less effective, by acidifying them)

- PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil (hydrogenated
oils have negative health effects)
BOTTLES
BrainChild: High Density Polyethylene, also
known as HDPE (the safest plastic)
The Others: PET or LDPE, both of which are
cheaper materials and more likely to leach
into the liquids.
PRESERVATIVES
BrainChild: Potassium Sorbate (safest)
The Others: Sodium Benzoate (can create
benzenes in combination with Vitamin
C)
Liquid Supplements Are Not Created Equal
Liquids require many types of ingredients that pills don't. They contain flavorings
and sweeteners to make them taste good, preservatives to avoid spoilage and
suspension agents and emulsifiers to help the nutrients stay in the liquid and mix
together smoothly. All of these ingredients can be problematic, particularly for very
sensitive people. BrainChild liquids use the best choices for all of these, and are well
tolerated, even by very sensitive people.
